WHO AM I ?

I was born in Paris and lived there until the age of 10 when I moved to the south of France in Montpelier. My parents were both teachers, which left our family a lot of time to cruise in the camper during the holidays. Shortly after learning how to walk I got into skiing and then windsurfing at the age of 6, which became my major passion for the next 13 years. I also practices all the board-sports: snowboarding, wake boarding, SUPing, skateboarding…

In 2003, at 19 I discovered Kitesurfing and became addicted, and was now trying to accomplish on the water what I had done on the trampoline for 10 years: the possibility to evolve in three dimensions and flip around.

“… Trampoline really helped in terms of physical preparation but also to control myself while in the air, flipping, and falling also!”

I found a new home in New Caledonia a couple of years ago to train during the off season but I also like to do other things besides kiting to get his mind off competition: he used to play the sax, has taken up the guitar.

I started competing in 2005 on the KPWT and won 2 World Titles in 2006 and 2007. After that I decided to join the PKRA in 2008 and I have been in the top ten since then: 6th in 08, 10th in 09, 7th in 2010 and 10th in 2011.

“I stepped back a little toward competition now and I accept defeats more easily and I analyze a lot more. But I still have the spirit for competition and I love it. The fun part about it all is that we can travel, party and have fun while competing”

After all those years I am still as passionate about Kitesurfing as ever and loves the infinite possibilities of the sport: doing wakeboarding moves or high jumps, kiting on the water or on snow and even on earth mountain boarding.

“Kitesurfing is an adrenaline machine thanks to the wind power. I love this sport because it matches our era: it’s eco-friendly, we use energy that is 100% natural and when petrol will be gone, we will still be able to do kiteloops!”
